Embarrassed and still reeling from guilt, Kaleb runs away before the team can even brainstorm how a dragon-vampire might be a worthy opponent for Hope. After Jed confronts him for not using his powers on the battlefield, Kaleb accidentally yells fire at him. The real Hope is actually trolling Clarke - now going by the name of Ryan - at his new suburban house in Georgia. Clarke is working a boring desk job at an insurance company and dating his boss' daughter, Trudy, who Hope calls "walking upper 30s desperation." Hope needs Clarke to find out more information about the Triad group that's hunting her.
